Sanding & Finishing Hardwood Floors Class

Want to fix up your hardwood floors but don’t know how to do it yourself? In this weekend workshop from the MN Tool Library you’ll learn what a project like this entails, from visioning it out to sanding techniques and finishing options. Day 1 (3/2/24 from 3-5:30 pm) will go over how to use the Tool Library’s floor sanding equipment, including demonstration of a drum sander and edger and cover topics such as dust control and dealing with corners and other tricky spots. Day 2 (3/3/24 from 3-5:30pm) will focus on finishing your floor – buffing, cleanup, and choosing the right finish, including color, application methods, and best practices for cleaning and maintenance.
