Santa on the Fire Truck collection for families in need

For more than 25 years, the St. Anthony Fire Department has helped Santa and his reindeer with collecting for families in need. Once again, Santa on the Fire Truck will be coming down local streets to continue this annual tradition of helping to spread holiday cheer.
Santa on the Fire Truck dates are: Sunday, Dec. 11, south of 34th Avenue NE and west of Silver Lake Road; Monday, Dec. 12, south of 37th Avenue NE and east of Silver Lake Road; and Wednesday, Dec. 14, north of 34th Avenue NE and west of Silver Lake Road, all of north of 37th Avenue NE. Santa starts at 5:30 p.m. each night. Participants can follow Santa via GPS tracking from the city website at www.ci.saint-anthony.mn.us.
Acceptable donations for Toys For Tots are new unwrapped toys, cash, or a check made out to Toys For Tots. Acceptable donations for “Nourish 282” are cash, gift cards, and childrens clothing. Donations will be accepted until Dec. 17 at 7 p.m.
