Shakespeare: The Play’s the Thing!

Catholic Eldercare will host a free presentation on Monday, Feb. 6, 1:30-3 p.m. at the MainStreet Lodge, 909 Main St. NE. William Shakespeare has long been regarded as one of the most significant writers in literature. Shakespeare’s accomplishment is mainly built on the three dozen plays his admiring fellow actors published seven years after his death. In this presentation, Dr. Moe will discuss Shakespeare and his world, and explore the themes and techniques found in his famous plays. You will also hear a few illustrative passages from some of Shakespeare’s lifelike characters, so that you may better understand and appreciate the power of his unique command over our living language.
