Share the River Nordeast

Share the River Nordeast is back June 22 at Mississippi Watershed Management Organization, 2522 Marshall St. NE. Stop by anytime between 5-8 pm for a free introductory canoe ride on the Mississippi River, then grab a free cookie and enjoy a variety of fun and educational activities at MWMO’s Stormwater Park and Learning Center. Family-friendly event for kids and adults of all ages. (Note that you must weigh at least 30 lbs. in order to fit in the provided life jackets.) In addition to learning to paddle on the river, participants will also have opportunities to learn about the Mississippi River’s history, water quality, plants, animals and more. You’ll also be able to connect with other local organizations about their work in the community for the environment. Canoe rides will be led by guides from Wilderness Inquiry, with support from National Park Service rangers from the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area and Mississippi Park Connection staff.
