Share your Village stories

The annual meeting of the St. Anthony Village Historical Society will be held April 22, 10 am-noon, at the St. Anthony Village Community Center 3301 Silver Lake Rd. Everyone is welcome to this free event. Bring and share your memories, family stories and related photos or mementos including small objects or photos of large objects to share with the Historical Society, perhaps to include in their archives. If you’d like to share, let them know in advance at savhistorical@outlook.com. During a short business meeting, they will present a report on the society’s work in 2022 and plans for 2023. This includes recent contacts with local historians, specifically in relation to expanding their coverage to the quarter section of New Brighton containing the Windsor Green Townhomes which falls within the St Anthony/New Brighton School District. Residents of this area have had a strong cultural attachment to St. Anthony since the time of the earliest farms, the annexation into St. Anthony of three other adjoining quarter sections of Ramsey County in 1958, and the later residential development of the Windsor Green Townhomes in 1965.
