SNO’s invasive plant removal and river restoration

Join the Sheridan Neighborhood Organization and Friends of the Mississippi River for a cleanup event along the Mississippi River. Thursday, Oct. 17, 5-7 pm. SNO has started a long-term partnership to help maintain the river banks along the Mississippi at Sheridan Memorial Park, 1300 Water St. NE. Learn about invasive species, how to identify them, how to remove them effectively and plant native species to revitalize the landscape. Meet at the Sheridan Veterans Memorial at 5 pm, where the FMR will educate on the project and then  start the invasive plant removal. Gloves, water, bags, snacks and tools provided.
