Russ White Solo Exhibit in Winona

“You and Me and Them and Us,” a one-person show of hand-cut collages and photorealistic colored pencil portraits by Minneapolis-based artist Russ White. From large hyper-realistic renderings in colored pencil to abstracted paper collages cut and assembled by hand, the collection of work explores representation of the human form, navigating different ways of capturing human energy and emotion. Is realistic representation the most effective, or can a looser approach to mark-making create more of an impact?
