St. Anthony of Padua celebrates Fr. John Brandes

The St. Anthony of Padua Chapel at Catholic Eldercare will celebrate the birthday and ordination anniversary of Father John Brandes, priest in Residence, at two upcoming events and invites the community to join in the celebration. On May 5 at the 5:30 pm mass, Father Brandes will celebrate mass on the occasion of his 93^rd birthday. On June 2, all are invited to help celebrate the 68^th anniversary of Father Brandes’s ordination to priesthood. Fr. Brandes will be the celebrant at the 9:00 am mass June 2. Fr. Brandes was formerly pastor of St. Williams in Fridley and St. Boniface Church in Northeast as well as many other assignments in his 68 years of priesthood. He also joined in missionary work in San Lucas Toliman, Guatemala.
