St. Patrick’s Day parade and Blarney Blast

The 54th Annual Minneapolis St Patrick’s Day Parade will take place Thursday, March 17, 6 pm in Columbia Heights. The parade route runs from 40th and VanBuren to Mill Street NE, ending at Murzyn Hall. Co-sponsored by the Columbia Heights Lions Club & VFW Post 230. Celebrity Grand Marshal is Minnesota Viking James Lynch. Kathryn Hayes of Northeast will be honored as Irish-American Business Woman. Entires for Ms. Blarney 2022 – Irish at Heart, legally 21, great personality will be accepted until March 5. Call Judy Clerkin at 763-234-0669 or email mplsstpats@aol.com. Parade application at Mplsstpats.org. Entry fee is $25. The Blarney Blast follows the parade at Murzyn Hall. It includes Irish dancers, live music, and an Irish buffet, and a cash bar sponsored by the Columbia Heights Lions Club. Entry for this event is $10 for ages 12 and up, $5 for ages 6-11, free for 5 and under.
