Stabat Mater and Salve Regina: A Lenten meditation concert

Hear back-to-back performances of Pergolesi’s beloved “Stabat Mater” and Scarlatti’s “Salve Regina” on Saturday, March 12, 8 pm at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1621 University Ave. NE. This concert features soprano Sarah Jackson and countertenor Timothy Faatz in collaboration with some of the Twin Cities’ finest Baroque-period instrumentalists. Both of these haunting works capture the spirit of Lent and Passiontide through the sorrowful lens of the Virgin Mary.
