Spero Academy, 2701 California St. NE, is hosting their first Summer Food Service Program. More families than ever are experiencing food insecurity, and with school out for summer, it’s important to ensure that children have access to nutritious food. They’re providing free meals for children during the summer as part of their overall mission to support the growth and development of every child by addressing the needs of the whole child.
This summer’s meals will be distributed in 5-day bundles at the east main entrance every Monday, 11 am-2 pm through Aug. 10. There are no income requirements or registration. Any child age 18 or under may collect meals. Info: Devin Taylor, dtaylor@spero.academy or 612-465-8600.
