“Taste of Columbia Heights” Holiday Kick-Off

Friday, Nov. 18, 6-9:30 p.m. at John P. Murzyn Hall, 530 Mill St. The event is sponsored by the Columbia Heights (CH) Recreation Department, CHAF, the CH Lions, and Silent Auction items: Discount 70. There will be free wine and beer tasting from CH Top Valu Liquor Stores, as well as local musician performances by “New Dawn” and “Scott Skaja and Friends,” and a CH Lion’s Club Bar. Admission is free and $2 per ticket for each food sample sold at the door. Sample foods from local Columbia Heights restaurants such as El Tequila Mexican Grill, Sarna’s Classic Grill, Basha Mediteranean Wood Grill, Royal Orchid, Miller’s Corner Bar and Grill, Karta Thai, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Tasty Pizza, Heights Bakery, Kevin Lindee Chocolatier, Adelita’s Panaderia Bakery, and Community Grounds.
