Theatre Pro Rata 2020-2021 season

Theatre Pro Rata’s 2020-21 season will include three productions, written and directed by women, and featuring a predominantly female cast and crew, as part of The Jubilee, a national theater festival to produce plays written by traditionally excluded voices. Productions, which will take place at The Crane Theater, 2303 Kennedy St. NE: “Top Girls,” by Caryl Churchill, November 2020; “Orlando,” by Sarah Ruhl, March 2021; and “Convent of Pleasure,” adapted by Heather Meyer, June 2021 (a postponement of the June 2020 world premiere production). There is a sliding scale for ticketing, allowing patrons to name their own price from $16-$61.
Theatre Pro Rata will also continue its ongoing play reading series with two readings during the run of each show. The readings are free and open to the public.
Theatre Pro Rata follows all CDC guidelines for audience and artist safety, as well as all MN State requirements for public gatherings. Each show will be configured to ensure appropriate social distancing. Audience numbers will be limited to state mandates. Info: cranetheater.com.
