Twin Cities German Film Festival

The Germanic-American Institute will hold their inaugural Twin Cities German Film Festival hosted by The Main Cinema, 115 Main St. SE, Thursday, Nov. 3-Sunday, Nov. 6. The theme, “Reel Women,” highlights German films with women at the center of the narrative—women who use their passions and skills to instigate changes in their own lives and in the lives of those around them. Films include Cleo (2019) Thursday, Nov. 3, 7 pm; Amelie Rennt (2017) Friday, Nov. 4, 10 a.m.; Unser Kurzes Leben (1980) Friday, Nov. 4, 7 pm; Mission Ulya Funk (2021) Saturday, Nov. 5 at 1 pm (kids and families welcome); Solo Sunny (1979) Saturday, Nov. 5,  7 pm; Sputnik! (2013) Sunday, Nov 6., 1 pm (kids and families welcome); Nasim (2021) Sunday, Nov. 6, 7 pm (documentary). Advance tickets are $10. $12 tickets are available at the door.
