“Two Friends, One Show”

There will be an opening reception for “Two Friends, One Show,” featuring Bonnie Dean and Andrew Braunberger, Sunday, Aug. 7, 5-8 p.m., at 1500 Hennepin Ave. E. (enter the gallery through Chin Dian Café.) The “Not Your Usual Art Show Opening,” will be a world premiere of music and song, written by Bonnie Dean, specifically for collaborative works by both artists. Mutual themes, separately explored, are “Under the Banyan tree,” “Dandelions,” and “Dragon-y.”

“Wind ‘n the Bow,” a recorder and violin ensemble that specializes in Baroque, Renaissance and Celtic music, will provide background music. Four vocalists will join for song performances at 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. There will be complimentary hors d’oevres and a cash bar, featuring sangria.
