The Ukrainian American Community Center, 301 Main St. NE, will hold a Ukrainian Cuisine series of cooking classes this spring. Learn about Easter breads, accompaniments, and spring desserts in these small hands-on classes.
The first class, Saturday, Feb. 23, 10 am-noon, will focus on Ukrainian Easter breads including paska, a large, rich, slightly sweet eggy bread with beautiful braids and symbolic designs on top, and babka, a tall, cylindrical sweet bread often studded with dried fruits.
