Under the Radar benefit

Under the Radar is hosting a fundraiser on Sunday, Nov. 20. Doors open at 5 p.m. and dinner service will start at 6:15 p.m. at the Dakota Jazz Club, 1010 Nicollet Mall, Mpls. The mission of the Under The Radar Foundation (UTRF) is to open eyes and hearts to those who live “under the radar.” The goal of UTRF is to focus attention on issues which the media has forgotten, while raising funds and generating resources to address those needs. Their focus this year is to help fight hunger in local communities. Barbara Applebaum Portnoy, the Founding Director of UTRF, will recognize East Side Neighborhood Services as one of the recipients of the contributions from this event. The Under The Radar Foundation’s 10 Year Anniversary Celebration will feature music by C.J Chenier and His Red Hot Louisiana Band, and will be emceed by journalist, Don Shelby. Ticket prices range, individual ticket $150, clubside booths $600, dining room side booths $650, and sponsor tables $2000. A special live auction will also be held featuring an original Robert Witman photo from Prince’s first photo shoot, two premier tickets for a sold out Vikings game and dinner with Vikings legend Jim Marshall at J.D.
