Employment Orientation Meeting, Tuesday, Oct. 25, at 9:30 a.m. ESNS’ Senior Community Service Employment Program will host this orientation meeting in search of low-income seniors, 55 and older, in Hennepin County, who are interested in paid on-the-job training in a variety of community based settings. A Matter of Balance, Wednesdays, Oct. 19-Dec. 7, 10 a.m.-noon, an award-winning, eight-week program on how to view falls as controllable, make changes to reduce fall risks at home, perform exercises that improve strength and balance, and set goals to increase physical activity. ServSafe® Food Safety Manager, Thursday, Nov. 3, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., a one-day certification class to prepare for a career in food service preparation and safety. Participants can take the test on the same day or the following morning.
