Volunteers needed for Weed It & Reap and Cultivate Northeast

Volunteers are needed for Northeast Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce’s Weed It & Reap and Cultivate Northeast, Thursday and Friday, Oct. 6-7, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturday, Oct. 8, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., meeting at Tom’s Style and Tanning, 938 Lowry Ave. NE.

The event is open to everyone and relies on volunteer participation. Gather your co-workers, neighbors, friends, and families together and help clean up Northeast. Volunteers pick up debris near local businesses, sidewalks, boulevards, area parks, and neighborhood streets, and help winterize the “Cultivate Northeast” garden. The Chamber supplies vests, gloves, garbage bags, and area assignments. Volunteers receive t-shirts.
