Wild Paws launch event

The public is invited to “Cheers to Wild Paws!” a free launch event to introduce Wild Paws Midwest Animal Sanctuary, Thursday, Oct. 20, 6-9 p.m., at Insight Brewing Company, 2821 Hennepin Ave. E. Wild Paws’ mission is to rescue and provide a safe habitat for wild animals using sustainable resources, to promote coexistence between humans and wildlife, and to educate the public about the preservation of wild animals and their ecosystems.

The Wild Paws team will be at the event to meet and greet attendees and share a short presentation about the organization’s goals. Supervised children are welcome. Limited edition pint glasses will be available. Insight Brewing will donate $2 to Wild Paws for every pint sold. The Sasquatch Sandwiches food truck will be selling their Minnesota-inspired monster sandwiches and sides.

Wild Paws, a 501c3 non-profit organization, will not breed, buy or sell animals, and believes wild animals should not be kept as pets. They do not have land yet, but their specifications for the search include being within two hours of the twin cities metro and a minimum of 100 usable acres.  For more information, visit www.wildpaws.org.
