January 17, 2017 @ 7:00 pm
Event Navigation
There will be a community meeting about the Windom Park Small Area Transportation Plan, Tuesday, Jan. 17, at 7 p.m., at Windom Park Recreation Center, 2251 Hayes St. NE (the north end of the Pillsbury School building).
This month’s neighborhood meeting is the first in a series of community engagement sessions. Stakeholders are encouraged to attend to meet with the planning consultant and offer input on the Small Area Transportation Plan (SATP). Topics to be discussed include traffic volumes; safety and crash data; land use; identification of key problem nodes and corridors and solutions; the condition of driving, walking and riding in the neighborhood; and more. The first “Technical Memorandum” is available for review at www.windompark.org.
The final SATP will be presented to the City of Minneapolis later in 2017. It will be used when reviewing projects and advocating for neighborhood priorities. It is hoped that the SATP will become part of the city’s Comprehensive Plan.
The SATP discussion is scheduled for the first hour and a half of the agenda. The meeting will also include time for other announcements and an open forum, as time permits. The recreation center is accessible. There will be door prizes. For more information, call 612-788-2192.
