Youth invited to free virtual artist in residence classes

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) and the Minneapolis Institute of Art (Mia) invite youth and teens ages 8-18 to join in a free week of connecting with a Virtual Artist in Residence (AiR) and other young creatives for kit-based artmaking from home.

Participants can explore themes related to water and various art media and will receive new, safely packaged art supply kits to use and keep. At the end of each AiR week, creations will be featured on Mia’s social media platforms and an AiR Tour at artsmia.org.

The NE/SE session, with art pick-up at Beltrami Park, 1111 Summer St. NE, will be Aug. 3-7, 10 am-noon, for ages 11-14. (Note: kits can be delivered to a Minneapolis address if necessary.)
