Dissolving Margins
Dissolving Margins, a two-person exhibition featuring sculpture by Julia Haft-Candell and recent paintings by Maria Kozak will show at Dreamsong, 1237 4th St. NE, through Monday, Dec. 12. Color Finds Form
Kolman & Reeb Gallery welcomes emerging Minneapolis artist David Moore, Jr., to the gallery for an exhibition of his abstract paintings. The show, Color Finds Form, opens with an artist reception Thursday, Nov. 3, 6-9 pm. A reception will occur Saturday, Nov. 5, 4-7 pm. Moore will talk about his show on Thursday, Dec. 1, 7-8 pm. When studios in Northeast Minneapolis open for the weekend of November 4-5-6, visitors can purchase cocktails at the basement Speakeasy at Casket Arts building. The California Building, 2205 California St. NE, will be open for California Dreamin’, part of the Fall Open Studios weekend hosted by the Arts District and NEMAA. Art to Change the World will unveil "Mississippi Pearl," a collaborative artwork made of things found in and along the Mississippi River. The event will occur at Homewood Studios, 2400 Plymouth Avenue North, Minneapolis, Friday, Nov. 11, 5-8 pm. The creation of Pearl was funded by a Mississippi Water Management Organization Stewardship Fund Program grant and directed by artist Barbara Bridges, who guided a scientist, journalist, mayor, teachers, and artists to complete the work.
