“Street Signs” at Icebox Gallery
Icebox Gallery owner, artist, and photographer Howard M. Christopherson presents the first gallery exhibit since the start of the pandemic, "Street Signs MSP: Protests and the Aftermath." Kohlman & Reeb, 1500 Jackson St. NE , Studio 395, presents new work by encaustic artist, Julie Snidle. The motivation for the exhibition came to Snidle while she was attending an encaustic conference on Cape Cod. “I’d walk out onto a nearby seawall, which was comprised of gray boulders encrusted with bright, yellow-orange lichens, Xanthoria parientina,” she recalls. “I couldn’t stop looking at them. Art and music line the Minnepolis riverfront on West River Parkway. 250+ artists, culinary arts, music, food and beverage vendors and activities for all ages. Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association (NEMAA) has issued a call to all current NEMAA members to exhibit and donate original 2D and 3D artwork that is, or fits within, a 10x10-inch or 10x10x10-inch parameter. Members are encouraged to donate as many pieces as they would like, in any and all mediums for this annual fundraiser. This year’s challenge is to use recycled materials in the creation of a piece or pieces for 10x10. All available artwork will be initially displayed anonymously…
