Kolman & Pryor Gallery will present "The Color Series: Part 5, Blue," the fifth show in the gallery’s ongoing Color Series. The exhibition, which features work inspired by the color, blue, created by gallery artists, Betsy Ruth Byers, Jil Evans, Kelly Jean Ohl, Jodi Reeb, Julie Snidle, and Cameron Zebrun, opens Jan. 8, and runs through March 5, 2022. Benjamin Merritt’s exhibition, "A feather plucked from its bird", is titled after his eponymous new artist’s book, a variable collection of unbound handmade prints produced through multiple printmaking processes. Merritt works from copperplate etchings, scraping away the copper to transpose a long history of gestures and marks on the final print. The Nature of Shoreham Yards
For over two years, Gudrun Lock has been investigating the possibility of turning the buffers of Shoreham Yards into an experimental revitalization project. Dreamsong presents Thai films
Dreamsong, 1237 4th St. NE, will present six short films by Thai filmmaker Anocha Suwichakornpong, Tuesday, March 15, 7 pm. The 70-minute program features work made over the last 15 years that shape-shift between genres by way of a deep engagement with the history of cinema. Blurring the line between fantasy and reality, the films present striking, intimate narratives through a feminist lens.
