Chris Rackley: Life as a Mall Brat
Artist Chris Rackley is a self-proclaimed "mall brat." On days when not in school, Rackley spent his time at the mall sketching, reading, and exploring. In an exhibit at Kohlman & Reeb, Rackley uses drawings, sculptures and an interactive video to explore his memories of a shopping mall in Duluth, Ga. Apply now for The Big Tiny Show
Submit your artwork for Kolman & Reeb Gallery's upcoming juried exhibition, The Big Tiny Show. All subject matter, media and expressions are welcome, as long as they are 12" x 12" x 12" or smaller. Application Deadline: Oct. 25, 2023. Minnesota artists aged 18+ at any stage of their career are encouraged to apply. Show opens Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024 and runs through Saturday, Feb. 3. John Schoolmeesters will premiere his debut film, "The Life of a Painting (2023)" in the same studio where the film was shot. The Northrup King Building begins the season with a September Northrup King Night–a seasonal open studio event offering visitors four hours to explore four floors of art studios, fun boutiques and unique local businesses.
