Artist seeks women for art project
Northeast Minneapolis-based artist Ellie Kidder is seeking participation from women (including femme/transgender/non-binary) for a new art project funded by Minnesota State Art Board called Women of Northeast Minneapolis. The finished work will present a variety of stories about the communities the participating women are part of, in the form of writings and portraits. Twin Cities German Film Festival
The Germanic-American Institute will hold their inaugural Twin Cities German Film Festival hosted by The Main Cinema, 115 Main St. SE, Thursday, Nov. 3-Sunday, Nov. 6. Compassionate Ocean Zen Center, 652 17th Ave. NE, invites neighbors and those curious about Zen to attend an open house on Friday, Nov. 4, 7-9 pm. They offer opportunities for meditation practice and retreats, weekly talks, and classes on Buddhist teachings. Programs in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) are held four times a year.
