Sowden debuts novel at Eat My Words
Northeast native and resident Elizabeth Sowden will read from her debut novel, "Tough Love at Mystic Bay," Tuesday, June 28, 7 pm, at Eat My Words Bookstore, 214 13th Ave. NE. Refreshments will be served as she talks about her writing process. Copies of the book will be for sale.

Red, White & Boom! Races
Start Fourth of July with a four-mile race, the TC Kids Sparkler Dash mile, a half mile, or pre-K races. Enjoy a post-race grill-out and county fair festival with special games and treats. AFS-USA is seeking host families in Northeast and St. Anthony for international high school exchange students arriving this fall. Summer Dance with Midwest Polka Association
The Midwest Polka Association (MPA) invites the community to enjoy an afternoon of polkas and waltzes at their Summer Dance on Sunday, Aug. 7, 1-5 pm. Kyriopoulos to read at Solar Arts
Marjorie Lin Kyriopoulos, the author of "HeartStrings," will read excerpts from her memoir and share how the trauma of her aunt’s untimely death worked its way into her heart, traveling through three generations of her family.
