Mural honoring the life of Philando Castile
Faith United Methodist Church is honoring Philando Castile’s life during the month of July by displaying a mural of Mr. Castile painted by local Saint Anthony High School student Semhar Solomon and a team of friends.

The call for art is open for the 2022 Northeast Calendar, coordinated by the Northeast CDC d/b/a Minneapolis Arts District. Images are sought that represent Northeast in various ways and seasons. The deadline is Sunday, Sept. 12. All art mediums are welcome, submitted through print-ready digital images. Open Streets canceled
Open Streets Northeast, which was scheduled for Aug. 1, has been canceled for the second year in a row. Organizers put the kibosh on the event, citing COVID concerns. Open Streets events in other neighborhoods scheduled for September and October may still occur.
