Helping Employees Live in a Pandemic
NAMI Minnesota (National Alliance on Mental Illness) has developed an online mental health program for employers to offer their employees to help them manage their stress, coping skills, and resiliency during this unprecedented time. The new program is called HELP – Helping Employees Live in a Pandemic.

The Columbia Heights Police Department, in partnership with other local organizations, will host a school supply distribution and supply drive. This event will offer both drive-up or walk-up options and will include free school supplies for kids, housing assistance resources (HOPE 4 Youth, YMCA, Guild) and free T-Rock Pizza to go. Thursday, Aug. 27, 3- 7 pm. 530 Mill Street NE, Columbia Heights. They will also accept donations of diapers and hygiene products for Southern Anoka County Assistance (SACA).

Quilters sought for CH Centennial quilt
When the City of Columbia Heights turns 100 in 2021, a commemorative quilt will be on display. A community quilting group will assemble it this fall. Centennial planners ask residents to share their favorite part of Columbia Heights. You can submit ideas or memories such as playing at McKenna Park, attending a movie at the Heights Theater, or watching the Jamboree parade.
