Hennepin County is announcing the availability of $10 million for a new application round of emergency funding for small businesses impacted by COVID-19. Applications will be accepted Thursday, July 30 at noon through Wednesday, Aug. 12 at noon.

Spero Academy, 2701 California St. NE, is hosting their first Summer Food Service Program. More families than ever are experiencing food insecurity, and with school out for summer, it’s important to ensure that children have access to nutritious food. They're providing free meals for children during the summer as part of their overall mission to support the growth and development of every child by addressing the needs of the whole child. Anoka County is conducting a transit needs study and is reaching out to area businesses and residents –– people who use transit and those who do not –– for feedback. Those who complete a survey for the study, found at https://anoka-transit-wsbeng.hub.arcgis.com/, can enter a drawing to win a $100 gift card to a local retailer of their choosing. The survey will be available until the end of September.
