St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 4101 Washington St. NE, hosts its 24th annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday, Nov. 28 following their 10 am service. The free turkey dinner with all the trimmings is served from 11 am-2:30 pm. This dinner is open to any families and individuals in need of a welcome place to spend the holiday. Meals can be delivered to the Columbia Heights area by calling the church at 763-788-9427.

St. Anthony residents will have a chance to thank outgoing Mayor Jerry Faust and Council Member Hal Gray for their service to the community at a reception at City Hall, 3301 Silver Lake Road. Coffee and cake will be served Dec. 12 from 4-6 pm in Council Chambers.
