Prohibition: A Grand Misadventure

Bywood East Health Care, 3427 Central Ave. NE, will have its 13th annual "Battle of the Bird Houses" silent auction, Saturday, July 20, 9 am-1 pm. In addition to the large assortment of birdhouses to bid on, there will be birdfeeders, mini gardens, sun catchers, and a few seasonal items. Ard Godfrey House open Aug. 10
The Ard Godfrey house, in Chute Square, Central and University avenues NE, will be open for tours, Saturday, Aug. 10, 1-4 pm (last full tour at 3:30 pm). The house is the oldest remaining wood frame house in Minneapolis, first occupied by Ard Godfrey, a millwright, and his wife Harriet in 1849.
