Columbia Park meeting, election, picnic
The Columbia Park Neighborhood Association will have its board meeting, board election, and potluck picnic, Monday, June 17, 6:30 pm under the tent at Hi View Park, 35th Avenue and Main St. NE. Picnic begins at 6:30 pm and the program at 7 pm. Representatives from Minneapolis and other local officials are expected to attend. Hennepin County will hold a hazardous waste collection event at Pillsbury School, 2250 Garfield Street NE, June 21 and 22, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The county will accept batteries, CFL and fluorescent lamps, drain and oven cleaners, gas cylinders, antifreeze, auto paints, pesticides, vehicle lead-acid batteries and other hazardous materials.
