Free community meals at Gustavus Adolphus
Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church, 1509 27th Ave. NE, will serve free community meals on the first Saturday of each month beginning on Saturday, Sept. 7. Meals will be served in the church basement 5:30-7 pm. Mark your calendars for the following dates: Sept.7, Oct. 5, Nov. 2, Dec. 7, Jan. 4, 2025, Feb. 1, March 1, April 5, May 3 and June 7.

Friday, Sept. 20 and Saturday, Sept. 21. St. Mary's Orthodox Cathedral, 1701 5th St. NE. Enjoy local ethnic foods including perohi and holubki, pulled pork and lamb sandwiches as well as offerings from food trucks. Live entertainment, a book sale, bingo, beer, and children's activities. Friday night features a live band and dancing and a Vendor Market Place will be held on Saturday.

The congregation of Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church, 1509 27th Ave. NE, will celebrate the church's 110th anniversary Sunday, Sept. 22. This is the exact date that 110 years ago the charter members of GA signed the charter to start the church. A festive worship service at 9:30 am will be followed by a reception and a congregational photo. Historical artifacts will be on display as well.
