Days for Girls Sew-a-Thon
The Minneapolis City of Lakes Rotary Club will sponsor a Days for Girls Sew-a-Thon at Northeast United Methodist Church, 2510 Cleveland St. NE, on Saturday, Jan. 20, 9-11 am. Join in sewing and assembling of feminine hygiene kits for distribution to girls in developing countries so they can continue to stay in school and have choices in their lives. Lenten soup suppers and fish fries
Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1621 University Ave. NE, will observe Lent with Wednesday night soup suppers and Friday night fish fries. Soup suppers are 4:30-7 pm in Kolbe Hall. Lenten potato pancake and soup dinner
St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 2201 3rd St. NE, will hold a Lenten Homemade Potato Pancake and Soup Dinner on Fridays, Feb. 23 and March 8, 4:30-7 pm.
