The Nicollet Island East Bank Neighborhood Association will host the Northeast Dog Parade Friday, June 28, 5:30-7:30 pm. Meet in the park by the river at Main St. & Hennepin Ave. NE. Show off your pup’s style and parade through the neighborhood. Contests and prizes: Best trick, look alike and best costume. Meet fellow dog owners and their furry companions.

Friday June 28, 6-8 pm at Bottineau Field Park, 2000 2nd St. NE. Family fun with free ice cream treats and a food truck, an inflatable bounce house, yard games and art projects. Bottineau Neighborhood Association will host a kids game with prizes. Stick around after the event for Movie in the Park featuring Ember and Wade in "Elemental," in a city where fire-, water-, earth- and air-residents live together.

Minneapolis Red, White and BOOM!
Celebrate America’s Independence Day in grand style with Minneapolis Parks and Recreation July 4 at Water Works Park and Stone Arch Bridge parking lot, west side of the Mississippi River. Live music and food trucks: Starting at 6 pm. Fireworks begin at 10 pm.

Free yoga sessions at Logan Park, 690 13th Ave. NE. Classes are conducted by a professional yoga instructor. Bring your own yoga mat or towel, and hydration. Saturdays, 10 am, June 8 and 29; July 13 and 27; Aug. 10 and 24. End-of-month sessions are family sessions. Follow Logan Park Neighborhood Association on social media for weather bulletins.

Saturday July 27, Hart Lake Apartments, 3839 Hart Blvd. NE, noon to 3 pm. Free to attend and free to show your car. Last year's show featured more than 40 cars, including classics and Corvettes. Show cars will arrive about 11 am. A Fifties band will play noon to 3 pm. Food trucks and the local Scouts will sell hamburgers and hotdogs. Come visit with old friends.
