Lights of Logan
Logan Park residents, get ready to flip the switch on Saturday, Dec. 2, for the annual neighborhood lighting contest. Have your holiday lights on by 5 pm. You could win a $50 prize. Winners will be announced in January. The following Saturday, Dec. 9, gather at the Logan Park Rec. Center, 690 13th Ave. NE, 2-4 pm, for a celebration that includes a cultural performance, refreshments and treats, kids' activities and door prizes.

The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will make its annual Minneapolis stop Monday, Dec. 11, 8 pm with a performance at 8:15 pm at Lions Park on 37th Ave. between 37th Ave. and Stinson Blvd. Country artists Tenille Townes and Breland will perform.

The Columbia Heights Fire Association and Lions Club will host a pancake breakfast with Santa, on Saturday, Dec. 16, 10 am-1 pm at Murzyn Hall, 530 Mill St. Admission is $10 for adults and $6 for kids under 12; kids under 4 eat free. Santa's City Tour returns to Columbia Heights on Tuesday, Dec. 19. Santa and his friends at the Columbia Heights Fire Department, Police Department, and Public Works will drive through Columbia Heights from 5 to 6:45 pm. The Columbia Heights Lions will host Professional Wrestling at Murzyn Hall, 530 Mill St NE, on Saturday, Feb. 24. Doors open at 6 pm and bell time is 7 pm. Tickets are $10 at the door.
