Northeast dog parade
Line up for the Northeast dog parade, Friday, June 23, 5:30-7:30 pm. Show up at Riverplace, 43 Main St. SE, with your costumed canine, or just watch. Local businesses sponsor and provide dog-themed giveaways to participants and observers. Sponsored by Nicollet Island East Bank Neighborhood Association.

Saturday June 24, 1-3 pm, Logan Park, 690 13th Ave. NE. Hop on your bike and celebrate bike riding. Learn how to ride a bike. Try out the bicycle obstacle course, designed with kids and new riders in mind. Face painting, kids' activities, free snacks. Raffle to win one of 2 bikes or 10 helmets. The annual Hart Lake car show is set for July 29, noon-3 pm, at 3839 Hart Blvd. No cost to display your car. A '50s and '60s band, Lucky Lizzy and the Boys, will perform. Exhibitors can arrive about 10:30. Scouts will provide hamburgers and hot dogs, and food trucks will be on hand. To get around the detours to the show, take 35W to Co. Rd. “Newsies” in SAV
St. Anthony Community Theater will present Disney's "Newsies" July 28-Aug. 6 at the St. Anthony Village High School auditorium.
