Indeed We Can for Logan Park

Join the Sheridan Neighborhood Organization and Friends of the Mississippi River to help preserve the banks of the Mississippi River. The Northrup King Building begins the season with a September Northrup King Night–a seasonal open studio event offering visitors four hours to explore four floors of art studios, fun boutiques and unique local businesses. Following a Sept. 18 update at Beltrami Park, a merger vote will take place 6:30 pm Wednesday, Oct. 25 at the Northeast Park recreation center, 1530 Johnson St. NE. The merger will be considered a yes vote by a 51% approval from members of the Beltrami, Logan Park and Northeast Park neighborhoods.

NE Community Band presents “Autumn Colors” at South High
The Northeast Community Band will perform its first concert of the 2023-24 season on Thursday, Nov. 2, 7 pm at South High School, 3131 19th Ave. S. Selections will include Eric Whitaker's "October," Travis Cross' "And the grass sings in the meadows" and "Nobles of the Mystic Shrine" by John Philip Sousa, among others. Free.

Using haptics and nonlanguage communication, with her show, "Contemplations in Patterns and Textures," Kelly Jean Ohl exhibits large intricately carved ceramic pieces that provide a unique sensory experience.
