Death Café at Curiouser Foods
Thursday, Dec. 12, 6-7:30 pm, at Curiouser Foods, 2900 Pentagon Dr. If you are curious about dying, death, end of life considerations, are already having conversations or would like a place to start — join other seekers of knowledge, the vulnerable, the fearful and the embracers at the Death Café. The Midwest Polka Association invites the community to enjoy a wonderful afternoon of listening and dancing to a popular local polka band, Doctor Kielbasa. The dance will be held on Sunday, December 15 from 1-5 pm at Murzyn Hall, 530 Mill St. NE. A celebration of December birthdays will happen, as well, so come and enjoy a cupcake with the birthday dancers! Admission is $10 per person. Bar service is available. Are you caring for a friend or family member with dementia or any lengthy illness or injury? St. Anthony Community Services will host a monthly in-person facilitated group to provide support and resources for care partners. Amy House, a trained facilitator, has designed this group for care partners of any age.
