Northeast Chorale spring rehearsals
The Northeast Chorale is about to begin its spring season. Rehearsals will be held at Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church, 1509 27th Ave.NE, 6:30-8:30 pm on Tuesdays, March 28-May 30. At the end of the spring season, concerts will be held on the evening of June 3 and the afternoon of June 4. Participation is $25 for adults and $15 for high school students. No auditions required.

Three-choir concert
Three women's choirs -- ENCORE!, See Change Treble Choir and Voices of Hope -- combine for a powerful collaborative performance at Sundin Hall at Hamline University. The Minnesota Sinfonia under the direction of Jay Fishman will present a free concert Saturday, April 22, 2 pm, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1621 University Ave. NE. The concert will feature Gao Hong, who will perform Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" with improvised variations on the Chinese pipa, a stringed instrument. Also on the program is Beethoven's Second Symphony and a work by South American composer José Nuñez Garcia. Families with children are encouraged to attend.
