This event is for those who self-identify as LGBTQIA2S+, or as allies of the queer community. Together with the guidance of Friends of the Mississippi River staff, volunteers will dig in to tend to grasses and wildflowers which provide examples of native prairie plantings to park users. St. Mary’s Taste of Northeast Festival
Friday, Sept. 20 and Saturday, Sept. 21. St. Mary's Orthodox Cathedral, 1701 5th St. NE. Enjoy local ethnic foods including perohi and holubki, pulled pork and lamb sandwiches as well as offerings from food trucks. Live entertainment, a book sale, bingo, beer, and children's activities. Cine Latino Film Festival
The Cine Latino Film Festival returns to The Main Cinema, 115 SE Main St., Oct. 9-13, for five days of Spanish-language films, visiting filmmakers, fiestas and food trucks. Owámni: Falling Water Festival is a celebration of indigenous Minnesota cultures. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, October 12, 1-5 pm at Mill Ruins Park and Water Works, 4 West River Pkwy.
