Untitled Night
“Untitled Night” by Morgan Thorson is an outdoor nocturnal dance event that will take place on the frozen Silver Lake. Made for extreme climates, “Untitled Night” draws inspiration from night skies and the dynamic winter of the Upper Midwest, inviting audiences to immerse into the temperament of winter and bask in the dark cover of night. Kolman & Reeb Gallery announced its next Project Space grantee exhibition, "Scents to Scenes," showcasing landscape paintings by plein air artist Cheryl LeClair-Sommer. LeClair-Sommer used fragrance as a catalyst to search for locations that embodied the properties of those scents. The characteristics of each perfume inspired the mood and helped predict the color palette of the work. Art and Science on the River: Buckthorn
Saturday, March 23, 10 am-12:30 pm, Mississippi Watershed Management Organization, 2522 Marshall St. NE. Participants will gather around a fire to make buckthorn charcoal from buckthorn branches harvested from the banks of the Mississippi River.
