Seniors can apply for free exterior house painting
Metro Paint-A-Thon, a program of the Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches, helps income eligible seniors and people with disabilities continue to live independently in their own homes, enriching their lives and their neighborhoods.

Free fall prevention clinic
A free Fall Prevention Clinic will be held Friday, June 1, 1:30-3:00 at Fitness Crossroad, 2912 Pentagon Drive. All are welcome from the community. The workshop will include the discussion of risk factors of falls, learning safety tips to prevent falls, introduction to low impact fall prevention exercises to improve balance, and hands-on practice getting up from a fall. Art and the Reformation

The Washington Monument: Centerpiece of the National Mall
Catholic Eldercare will host a free presentation on Monday, August 6, 1:30-3 pm at the MainStreet Lodge, 909 Main St. NE. The 555-foot Washington Monument stands proudly in the center of the National Mall in Washington, DC. Building the monument involved disagreements about the design, political infighting, inability to raise money, and a 22-year interruption in the building phase.
