Weed It & Sweep
Gather your coworkers, neighbors, family and friends together and help clean up your corner of Minneapolis. Volunteers pick up debris near local businesses, on sidewalks, in area parks and around neighborhood streets. The Northeast Minneapolis Chamber will supply vests, gloves, garbage bags and area assignments. Volunteers needed for Celebrate Northeast Parade
The Celebrate Northeast Parade relies on the help of more than 80 volunteers every year to make this family-friendly summer event come to life. This is a great opportunity for friends, families and coworkers to get together and support the 94-year-old community tradition. Columbia Heights Lions hygiene drive
Friday, Aug. 25, 2-5 pm in the back lot of Murzyn Hall, 530 Mill St. NE. Items needed include feminine products, deodorant, toothbrushes and paste, shampoo, soap, etc. All items will be delivered to Columbia Heights High School for distribution within the school district. Invasive plant removal and restoration
Join the Sheridan Neighborhood Organization and Friends of the Mississippi River to help preserve the banks of the Mississippi River. Days for Girls Sew-a-Thon
