DIY Earth Day in Northeast parks
Contribute to clean parks for everyone by participating in Do-It-Yourself Earth Day on Saturday, April 23. Grab a bag from home and head out to your favorite park or trail or discover a new one. My Very Own Bed will host its Second Annual Steps for Sleep April 30 at DeLaSalle High School, 1 DeLaSalle Drive, on Nicollet Island. East Bank Mississippi River Care
Join the Marcy-Holmes Neighborhood Association to care for the wild, natural sanctuary on the East Bank of the Mississippi River where bald eagles and great blue herons hunt and the Mississippi once tumbled over massive limestone to create Owamni, later named St. Anthony Falls. The Celebrate Northeast Parade is back, Tuesday, June 21, 6:30-9 pm. The parade will run south on Central Avenue between 27th and 18th Avenues NE. More than 100 entrants participate in the parade, a combination of neighborhood organizations, businesses, nonprofits, local schools, marching bands, politicians, entertainers and Shriners.
