NE, SAV host families needed
AFS-USA is seeking host families in Northeast and St. Anthony for international high school exchange students arriving this fall. These young people represent many countries from regions such as Europe, Asia, Africa, South America and the Middle East. They are among the more than 2,000 international AFS students hosted in the U.S. each year. Welcoming an AFS Exchange Student is a way to help change the world without leaving home. Apply to Extension Master Gardener volunteer program
Apply now through Oct. 1 to become a University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardener volunteer. The University of Minnesota has trained thousands of Master Gardeners; each year, they contribute more than 140,000 hours of service in Minnesota communities. Invasive plant removal at Sheridan Memorial Park
The Sheridan Neighborhood Organization (SNO) is starting a long-term partnership with the Friends of the Mississippi River to help maintain the river banks along the Mississippi at Sheridan Memorial Park.
