Network: A River Connected at MWMO
Victoria Bradford Styrbicki’s collection of hand-crafted fishing nets, photos, and video is now on display at the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization’s Stormwater Park and Learning Center. The artist will be on hand to host visitors and talk about her work, 10 am-3 pm on Mondays, Oct. 21, Nov. 4, Dec. 16 and Jan. 6, 2025. The Northeast Community Band will present its annual holiday concert Thursday, Dec. 19, 7 pm at Edison High School, 700 22nd Ave. NE. St. Michael’s & St. George’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church invites the public to warm the cold winter nights with made-from-scratch borscht (beet soup) and pyrizhky (home-made bread rolls with a creamy potato filling and lightly fried). Take-out dinners are $12 and include a 16-oz bowl of borscht and two pyrizhky.
