PF Studios 5th anniversary book release
In conjunction with the five-year anniversary of the PF Studios program, Public Functionary will release a commemorative book. This 150-page volume documents the program's journey, featuring profiles of 35 PF Studios artists, essays by Taylor Jasper, Leslie Barlow, Shana Kaplow and Tricia Heuring, and behind-the-scenes insights into the program's development. Responding to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Piotr Szyhalski began drawing Labor Camp Reports once again. Much like the COVID-19: Labor Camp Report series from 2020, this new and ongoing body of work serves as a way of witnessing and recording the experience of “extreme historical phenomenon” unfolding in real time. Compassionate Ocean Zen Center, located across the street from the Casket Arts building, is having an open house during Open Casket Weekend at the Casket Arts Building.
