ConFluence: Futures in Color
ConFluence, the BIPOC Minneapolis sci-fi convention, will return to Northeast 10 am-8 pm Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 18 and 19, at Northrup King Building, 1500 Jackson St. NE. The artist-organized comic-con celebrates art, sci-fi, fantasy, futurisms and fandoms centered on content by and for BIPOC communities. The Northeast Community Band under the direction of Tim Martin, begins its 27th season with a fall concert on Thursday, Oct. 23, 7 pm at Edison High School, 700 22nd Ave. NE. The band will play several autumn-themed pieces, including Eric Whitacre's "Ghost Train." Free.
